FlexMail offers several methods to select and display a subset of the records in a database. You can use these commands to specify a condition that the records must meet. Only records that satisfy the specified condition are selected from your database.
There are three methods you can use to filter records:
Filter By Selection, enabling you to filter records by selecting one or more fields on the Datasheet that specify the condition that the records must meet.
Build more complex filters in the Advanced Filter/Sort window (see Advanced Filters and Sorts).
Filter your records by a pre-defined filter by selecting a Query. For more information about Queries, see Working with queries.
You can remove a filter applied with one of the filter commands, and redisplay more or all the records in a database. For more infomation Removing a filter.
Considerations when filtering records:
Filters that are built by Filter by Selection or in the Advanced Filter/Sort window are saved when you save the project, and reapplied automatically when you reopen the project.
You cannot filter on columns originating from other datasources than a linked database and on fields whose data type is Memo, Hyperlink, or OLE Object.
